    Hi all, will hopefully bedipping my toein the world of foreign satellite in the next month or so and stillnot 100% sure on what makes and models to get.

    I'm pretty set on getting a Blade 7000s but would appreciate any help on the parts I should get for the rest of my system -(dish, motor, lnb mainly).

    I'm hoping to install a motorised set up to get the full use of the system and was planning on using the following;

    Want a motor with metal parts http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Technomate...item4cfd99e506

    Triax Td110 dish

    LNB - does the model really matter with such a largedish?

    Finally, the dish has to be fitted on the north facing side of the building as it's above a shop. I have read that I could fit it on a pole above thegutter line. The pitch of the rough looks pretty average and the there is nothing higher than the shop in front of it facing south.

    I'm mainly looking for whatever FTA channels i can get and may get a sub or two for football. I'm pretty familiar with the subs it's mainly the gear I'm not so familiar with.

    Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you can give.

    Brian

    A motorised setup on a pole over your gutterline is going to cause you problems in the long run.
    You will be up and down a ladder to realign after most heavy storms, metal gears or not.
    Ideally a motorized dish should be as sheltered as possible as the wind loads on a 1.1mtr dish can be fairly substantial.

    As for LNB you can't go wrong with Inverto Dark/Black Ultra, it really makes a big difference on weaker sats.

    As for what you'll get, FTA there is some English stuff on 26e and other than that most other FTA is foreign language.

    Thanks, yeah I've read that such a large dish at that height might be a problem. I've also heard the inverto mentioned a few times so will keep it in mind.

    Just one further question the building is a fairly standard two storey one does anyone know how far back the dish would need to be from it if I was to fit it on a pole further back in a sheltered part of the backyard.

    Thanks again
