No sd card slot on the nexus. That would be a must for me, but maybe not for you? Thinking about the Galaxy S2 myself.

Are you buying this second hand or getting it as a bill upgrade?

Because a Galaxy S2 can be picked up for around €300 now second hand which is an unreal price for the phone as the Nexus is 'newer'.

Yep you defo need a sd slot that alone is the reason i got rid of my apple and came to droid and as for buying a droid with no sd slot i NEVER will even if the phone had 32/64 gig i still have to have my 32 gig micro sd in it :)

Nexus is far superior to the GS2 in every way bar the storage. I'm managing fine with the 16gb thanks to Google Music and not having to store all my music on the phone. Phone just feels classier and the screen is insane.

    Every way?

    S2 has a better camera.
    8MP vs 5MP.

    And a better secondary camera
    2MP vs 1.3MP

GSMArena has the SII with better battery life ...

I am also trying to decide between these two on the O2 billpay silver upgrade. I am leaning towards the Sensation as I like the build of the HTC phones and the sense ui was wquite nice also. (plus the beats on the XE also)

The s2 is definitely the superior of those two phones. The Nexus is also worth considering if you want a better screen, pure android, and don't mind the lack of an SD card slot or an inferior camera.

Personally the sd card slot was a deal breaker for me so I went with the sgs2. I have rooted it and will be running custom ICS fairly soon too so the lack of stock ICS didn't bother me either.

It really depends on your own needs though - people coming on to defend the Nexus by claiming that no one needs more than 16gb are failing to realise that that is purely subjective. Similarly, for some people only AOSP Android will do so the Nexus will always win no matter what.

If you want the best of both worlds, and are willing to wait, you could get the Galaxy S II HD

    http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/26/samsung-announces-galaxy-s-ii-lte-and-galaxy-s-ii-hd-lte-handset/

Same screen as the Nexus but with all the buttons & TouchWiz of the S II.
