I have just recieved a delivery of Led Lenser X7R's. They are going to retail at 199 euros and I will be selling them for 155 euros. the have over 500 lumens of power and more or less the same size as the M7R's except they have a twin head. They are rechargable and come with batteries and the charging dock. I have a limited supply at the moment. Our website "IRISHOUTDOORSTORE.IE"will be up and running in the next week or so.

Got the M7R in the post today, had it out and very impressed. Especially with how simple they are to charge and how smart of the design.

Will these New units be able to b scope mounted like the M7R and the P7?

If so I'd be interested, any pics or a youtube would be great
    Cheers again

Yeah Tack they can be mounted with the normal gunmount. I'm on the mobile at the moment so can't put up any links but have a look on the LedLenser website.
    Thanks

Hi Hunterpajero, the conditions were not great last night as there was a slight haze and drizzle from time to time but just a few very obvious things first which I hope will help:
    1. The X7R is very impressive, in fact you would hardly notice the difference between it and the standard X21.
    2. The X14 is not rechargable and too big to scope mount but would be great for scanning-it has less Lumens but has bigger Lenses.
    3. There are no filters available for these new models.
    4. The X21R is insane:eek:
I personally will be using two X7rs from now on but I understand that people will rightly say "well of course you'd say that" so I have sent one off to be independently reviewed by Ishootandfish online magazine and hopefully anyone that has bought one will stick up an honest review good or bad also. I hope to go back out tonight to try them out properly and post a more detailed review

is there much of a difference between the m7r and the x7r?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,576 ✭✭✭garv123

Is it possible that you could test out the p7, m7r and the x7r moby? maybe take pictures at 100-150 yards of the different lights shining on a tree or something.

Id be interested in getting one of them but they are all a fair step up in price from each other.

Hi Krico there is a very big difference in power between them, it's more than double the power. I was trying to take pics yesterday to give an idea but couldn't get a decent one as I was just using the iPhone. I will try again tonight with a proper camera Garv123 but if anyone wanted to come up over the weekend and try them all out and stick up a review for themselves they are welcome to. Hopefully the weather will be a bit better tonight.

I went out last night to try get some photos to give an idea of the difference between the M7r and the X7r and as you can see Im not a very good photographer. I set out three poles at 50 100 and 150 yards and mounted two torches on two different rifles and tried them out on various powers. 150 yards was visible with the M7r with both rifles but in my opinion was more or less at its limit. However I put up another pole at 200 yards and this was no problem to make out the target with both rifles using the X7r. The field we were testing in wasnt much longer than the 200 yards so i cannot tell what the limit might be. I know its far from the most detailed test but its just to give a rough idea. I used two different rifles with a Zeiss on one and a Hawke on the other. Just to point out a few more important things-you cannot get filters for this torch-I was also asked if the beam is as tight as the M7r and I had originally said yes but as you can probably make out by the photos it is slightly wider, and finally as Garv123 pointed out-the price. you can get a P7 for 50 an M7r for 99 and this model is 155 euros so there is a big difference in the three. Although not nearly as powerful and certainly hasnt got the range the M7r is probably still the best option from a price point of view and for the filters but for something with more range or to use for scanning the fields then I think The X7r is the answer even to say it could be a better option than the x21

Hi moby, do the x7r use the same charger as m7r, cant find the charger for mine and thinking of buying the x7r if it has same charger, or can the charger be bought seperately?

Guys got a X7R from Moby there 2 weeks ago(very sound guy). I also have a M7R. Have had them both out a few times now. In my opinion the X7R defo gives you an extra 50/60 yards if not more. I was hugly impressed with the M7R until I used the X7R. If you are going for one and have the extra few bob then I suggest getting the X7R. Both are great but the X7R is just that bit better for sure. Thats my experience with the two of them.
