Am looking at getting an alu clad door on a 1950s red brick semi d.
The windows are cream and the top half the house is painted cream and then the red brick is on the bottom half.
I would prefer not to go with black. What colour would work well with the red brick.
I was thinking of navy but there are so many colours on the RAL chart.
    Any thoughts?

    Dont discount black though.
A black front door with cream windows can and will look rather cool indeed.

    Trust me.

    Hi,

Does it have to be an aul door? Would you consider a timber door?
If so, Lichen from Farrow & Ball really compliments red brick :-)

My door is a thermally effiecent (0.23) Composite door, much stronger than Upvc and much warmer too, black georgian door with cream windows.

I have a house exactly as you're describing. I'm planning on a sage green door.

I know it might sound strange but i took a photo of the front of the house and using some photo editing software i put different coloured doors on the house and that's the one i liked best.

Thanks for posting that picture. i have to say it is gorgeous.
It's so hard to tell without seeing the colour on a door.

No bother, happy to help :-)

I think it's gorgeous too. It's very hard to visualise the end result and with cost & time you really need to be 100% sure.

If you know some one with Photoshop they should be able to digitally paint a photo of your existing house.

Happy to do it for you if you want to email it over to me. Just PM me with your email address.
