Glare from PC monitor

On a PC with a CRT monitor (8 years old) should there be a problem with glare? Uses of the PC have problems with eyestrain, photo phobia (light sensitivity) and headaches. I've just changed the screen refresh rate from 60 to 75 hertz as was recommended elsewhere. Thanks in advance.

either upgrade to flat screen or get an anti-glare screen

TFT or get one of those screens. Doubt anywhere would sell them though.

CRTs will always have much worse glare compared to LCD displays, LCD displays are fairly cheap these days, so it may be worthwhile investing in a small one, even look on adverts, people are selling them off quite cheap!
