I don't see "love of cycling" amongst the appointment criteria, unless you count "access to a form of transport that will permit the post holder to meet the requirements of the post in full"!

When I saw the thread title, I thought "postman" or "Garda in the 1950s".

In fairness, when you look at most of the duties, you would go for a proven office administrator over a cycling enthusiast (not that they are mutually exclusive).

General Aptitudes: Highly proactive, with the ability to work with minimal direction

A job for Mark Cavendish maybe?
    Disposition: Good Interpersonal skills

    Oh, no, maybe not...

An office administrator and a cycling enthusiast you say..................

    Think I've found a suitable candidate ;)

Salary is hardly the best 1st thing to ask to make a good impression.
