Xtrend ET6000

Folks, ive been looking at buying one of these boxes, but I cant seem to find out if it is a capable media player. I am looking at getting rid of my ps3 because I only use it to stream mkvs, 3d mkvs etc. Would the xtrend be a good replacement?

I have an xtrend 9000 and is the best e2 sat reciever I have used for playing media. Avi tend to jump and stutter on both dreambox and vu+ whereas avi and mkv both play fi.e on xtrend. But in sayi.g that vu+ and xtrend are satellite recievers and both are excellent at what they are meant to be, sat recievers not media players.azbox was the best alternative reciever at playing all media but was shocking bad as a sat reciever

I also have an ET9000 and I'm delighted with it as a sat receiver. I was also wondering if this would make my Popcorn Hour redundant but sadly no the ET9000 is not in the same league for playing movies.
