Hi, we have a set of electric gates at our entrance they are made by Ditec and there is a phone/keypad made by Bewtor (TC5000). The gates do not work sometimes and i have been told that we need to replace the whole system including motors. I can't believe this as the motors work find it seems to be a problem with the electric parts telling the gate to open or not in this case. any help or anyone know about Ditec gate systems?

Take a look at your control board! When there not sealed prop slugs find their way in .. Happened to my neighbour . Gates sometimes opened.. Are they newly installed? Check that the step by step connection isnt constantly closed because the panel will only focus on one control at a time..ie if the step by step input is closed the keyfobs and keypad wont work. Also check that the photo eyes arent being blocked because sometimes the gates are setup so that they wont open if they are .
