Has to be Rush, 42 years and still no replacements.

John Rutsey died and Jeff Jones left, thats about it.

I'm guessing ZZ Top if you mean bands that havent had their lineup changed since forming, either via people leaving/being replaced/dying and not being replaced.

I'm sure there's a lesser known band that can beat that though!

    So far:
    44 years ~ Rush 1968–present
    43 years ~ ZZ Top 1969–present
    36 years ~ U2 1976–present

I mean original members even if some have died. Not bands with replacements.

Neil Peart didn't join Rush until 1974 so that would knock them down to 28 years I guess.

Actually that would count them out as I meant original band members from the start (sorry - I should have stated that earlier).

ZZ Top are out of the picture then as the original members were Billy Gibbon, Lanier Grieg and Dan Mitchell. They had already released a single before dropping Mitchell for Frank Beard and Lanier Grieg for Dusty Hill.
U2 looking better if we're talking mainstream bands.

Actually I tought you were talking about existing bands, if you include the past tense then The Four Tops ran as original from 54 to 97 when one of the original line-up died.
    43 years.
Sorry U2, bit more to go lads.

    Rush are still ahead!

I thought the thread was bands from origin without a change?
