My wife left our house in the grove this morning to take the kids to school only to find her car up on a jack with a wheel missing!! Sign of the times I suppose. Should I be thankful they left the jack and look on it like a straight swap?! Luckily, she managed to flag down a passing Garda car & they put the spare on for her so fair play to them. It's only a few months since my car was broken into outside the house too so just goes to show there's plenty of activity in our midst as we sleep.

    Alloy wheels, or what?

Thats awful.. There are scumbags that will literally steal anything that isn't bolted to the ground.

If your wife's car has alloys, you could get an alloy nut for the wheels.

There are pretty standard nowadays.. Seperate spanner needed to get the wheel off.

The spare wheel was taken off my very old Ford Ka a while ago, and the hub caps of the other wheels were taken. Nothing alloy or fancy about them. Totally plain. Must have been stolen to order. They'll steal anything.

its probably someone to cheap to pay for a new tyre after getting a puncture, everyone should hook their wheels up to an electric fence
