    Hi all

I am dress shopping at the moment for myself and 2 bridesmaids!
So far have seen some lovely dresses for myself and them online and at good prices!
Only problem is the usual worries about buying online and will it be the right size.
Can anyone recommend any sites they have bought from before?

    Thanks a mill!

I haven't bought mine yet but have been looking on gownsales.com and rkbridal.com
Both seem to be reputable and i'd be happy order off either. Once you go by the measurements on the website you should be ok, and even if the dresses need some alterations you'll probably still be saving money when compared to what you pay here in the shops for the same brands.
Sorry but the bridal boutiques have huge mark ups. Only thing i'll be buying off them is my dress, veil shoes etc will be coming from online sites!!

herself got hers from ebay and she says its brilliant, will need altering like all dresses anyways and it cost nothing.
She looked at stuff in shops and has said hers looks much better.

Problem with some of the sites is that the same dresses are much dearer on those sites even!

Hi Driver. would you mind pm-ing me with the name of the site that your OH ordered her dress on? thanks

it was ebay and she won't tell me the exact seller but she said just search away and when you find a design you like, then look for that particular item and you will get plenty of sellers, just pick the chinese one that has a good rep. A tyre for the car would cost more.

P.S. if you seriously fussy about lots of detail, don't go there. If you want dresses that are the norm, then you will be happy once you don't want the exact "down to the stitching" copy of the designer dresses

Worth looking at online shops here too, I just jmentioned on another thread, my sister in law got her flower girl dresses from buyandsell.ie for a steal and with some minor alterations they were beautiful. Just had a look and they have some gorgeous designer dresses on there for half of the cost

May be worth considering along with ebay.
