SUPER Q 90/120 BOILER PROBLEM

    Hi,

Hope I'm putting this in the right place.

The control thermostat on my super q 90/120 boiler seems to be playing up.

When I leave it turned down to the lowest setting, sometimes it still allows the boiler to heat the water up to top temperature and then it cuts out, water cools down and it starts up again.

Other times it only allows the water to heat up to the temperature that the the stat is set to and every thing works normal.

I took the stat out and tested it(rather crudely, using the kettle and continuity meter), it seemed to be fine.

Could there be any other factor affecting the working of the control thermostat.

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks
