Help understand nct letter

I was in holidays for week, and got letter from nct. Must i missed something. My nct is due in April, and in January i got this letter. Does it mean, car cant be without nct at all ?? must pass nct before old one is over ?

No, it just means you have to book it in time.

No, I think they're just reminding people that they can get it done 3 months in advance before the expiration date.I always do it early
