I got a Samsung mini s5570 and only today I got it up and running. I was playing around with the gps for a few minutes and I was also setting up email etc. This morning I had 6 odd euro in credit, tonight zero and no calls made today. Will I leave the wifi switched off ? what about the gps ? something ate the credit. Any advise ? Thanks.
PS this is my first smartphone so not really up to speed on the ins and outs of them.

    They do data bundles.

You can leave GPS and wireless on but it will eat your battery a lot faster.

Why would you need GPS switched on unless you are using your phone as a satnav?

OP, get 3G watchdog. The paid for version gives a breakdown of 3G data usage per application.

This is off topic but, I keep my GPS on all the time. Keeping your GPS on wont draw battery power unless you are using an app that polls the gps sensor for location data.

Some apps will use data in the background and thus you will get charges. Always go for wifi when available. You should go onto wifi network whereever possible to avoid using data.
