Hi all, in the next 2 or 3 months i will finish my degree(hopefully). It is a 4 year degree and tbh i dont think i was ever truly interested in it. In the past 4 years i rarely went to class, through both laziness and disinterest. I know i dont want to do work related to my degree and i dont know what i will do after the summer..At this stage i may as well just finish my degree, however it has a fyp/thesis. I have had no motivation to do it and it will be due in 1.5months time. Every day all day, im thinking about what i will do and i should be doing my fyp however i never get around to doing anything.. I feel like im in limbo not being able to do anything worth while. At best i will come out with a 2.2 and at worst i will fail. I dont know what to do and its really getting me down..

In my observation everyone loses sight of everything when they are nearing an important milestone. I have a friend right now, who 6 weeks ago loved her job, and her life, and then some offer came up for her husband across the country that they can't pass up and now she can't wait to leave, she's counting out the days, and she drags herself into work each day like something to be avoided. In previous years I've caught myself letting go a bit at work when I was looking forward to upcoming vacation time.

Think the same thing kind of applies here. You're starting to plan for your next move - which is totally normal - but it's also keeping you entirely distracted from your current priorities. You need to re-narrow that focus down to what you're doing this month/this week/today. Planning too far ahead anyway - on anything - only limits one's ability to adapt to change anyway, especially if such change becomes sudden and abrupt, and haven't we all been there.
