    I've no idea its a stupid thing to do The extra blades would make bits of the Turbo in no time

    The tack welds would cause compressor stalls and god knows what else. Proably just someone having a joke.

    Omg, looks like fresh tacks.....Op , where'd you see this? I don't believe anyone would do this to a working compressor. Those blades wouldn't last a minute at 14000rpm before causing a failure of the turbo

    I like the determination. Blow a hole with the welder? no problem. just move to the side and try again (I'm holding back calling them tacks, more like large blobs to overcompensate) The less said about the actual idea the better.

    Even if those tacks lasted somehow, the imbalance in the shaft would make bits of everything in no time.

    Has to be a joke of some sort. Having said that, I've heard of lads doing some mind boggling things over the years.
