    Hi guys,
Was just wondering about the scholarship for any first year student who got over who got 500 or over in their LC. I'm hoping that I'll be in that category and I'm just wondering about the campus accomodation which you're automatically signed up for. Whats the places like from anyone with past experience or who achieved the scholarship? Or would it just be better to get somewhere else?
    Thanks :D

Firstly the scholarship is worth €1,000. You get half on the 1st of November and the other half on the 1st of February. There's a ceremony in November too, and you get an award thingy!

You have 3 choices for campus, and I'd definately advise to live on campus in 1st year. River is the more expensive, but is by far the nicest and the most spacious, and you have your own bathroom. Village is the cheaper of the 3, 2 bathrooms for 5 people. It's not great, but it's not bad either! Rye Hall is the 3rd choice. The general consensus is that it is a kip. Some people do like it, but I know others who don't.

All 3 are really close to the college buildings (leaving at 9am, you will be in time for your 9am lecture!), really close to town (8 minute walk!!) and full of college banter during the semester (which simmers down so much at weekends, holidays and exams!)

My answer: if you can afford it get campus!

Hi, do you get the 1000e for 1st year only or for all of your degree?

    Hey

You get the €1000 in two installments of €500 each, one in November and one in February, but just in 1st year.
