Anyone know anything about getting to Skiathos Island in Greece? Would be travelling with my wife and three kids (8, 7 and 4) so looking for least hassle and most direct way to get there. Is it a case of getting a flight to Athens and a ferry to Skiathos or is there a better way? I am closest to Cork Airport so if I can fly from there even better. I see there is an airport in Skiathos with direct flights from Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester and a few others that might be better than Dublin/Athens + ferry. Never done Greek Islands so just looking for some advise on best way to get there (with kids!).

    Thanks!

We have looked at travelling to Skiathos also, and personally, we would fly to Birmingham/Manchester and then get a direct flight to Skiathos. It seems like a much easier option than Dublin-Athens-Skiathos. Here's some more info http://skiathosinfo.com/tour/travel.htm
