Jaguar X-type Turbo actuator

I have a problem with my Jag Xtype Sport Estate going into limp mode and my local mechanics have indicated that it is the turbo actuator controlling the egr valve.
If I get a new turbo unit and fit it, will I need to bring it to a jag dealer for re programming, or if I send it away to get re-furbished will I have to get it recallibrated.
    Any advice would be great.:)

I know that the actuator is not available separately from Jaguar and is only supplied with the turbo. As far as I know it is a HELLA part so maybe you could try to get it elsewhere, or Ford ? There is also a company that may be able to repair the actuator ...If you PM me I can get the contact details...

Thank you exador. I had made contact with this company and the ecu part of it is on its way to them. Now, whether to dismantle the EGR valve and give it a good cleaning or not?

It would do no harm but if the actuator has already been confirmed as the problem then it should be OK. It should just plug in with no programming/callibration required.

Latest installment in the saga is that the actuator was tested by a company in the UK and found to be perfect.
So, I am back to square one........
