Uneven disk wear after fitting new pads and disks

    Hi all,

I fitted new disks and pads to my 03 mondeo a few days back. I have driven about 60km since then.

Looking at the disks, the pads only seem to be making solid contact with the outer half, the inner half is keeping the overnight "rust" that forms when the car is parked.

The disks and pads are Bosch, both new, and all fitted at the same time.

Could I have done something wrong when fitting, or is this wear pattern normal for the first few hundred miles?

    Thanks.

    Ken

If your brakes are as effective as normal, I would give them a couple of hundred kilometers to bed in.

Take it handy during this period though! Give it a week or two and check them again.

The pads might not be moving on the siders correctly.did u clean everything up with a wire brush and put grease on them
