So I had my first wipeout of 2012 in Ballinastoe yesterday...

Was coming down the 2nd singletrack run as I was coming down the wooden bridge part was going a little too fast, front wheel went and I went face first off the platform down the few feet drop and parked myself into a tree...

Should have really been more careful... but the wood was slippy and my wheels were mucky = no grip...

Managed to complete the full circuit in 1hr 20mins (14KM) but when I got home started to feel a bit sore...

On closer inspection, did a bit of damage to front cog set... its a bit bent out of shape...

Today, the bruises on my legs and shoulder are pretty bad but that's life...

I am trying to get up to Ballinastoe at least once a week now (rain / hail or shine) if any boardsie fancy meeting up there for a trash around?

The raised boardwalks at B'stoe are fairly lethal in the wet alrite, nice little drop too if you loose your front wheel from under you...

    Pics or GT.. ;)

managed to stay rubber side down on those so far, I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

The Creosote coating on the raised boardwalks must be breaking down causing the slippy surface :)

I stopped and walked back a few yards to help someone last time out.

Stay on the bike! With MTB shoes those things are LETHAL!
