I am living in Limerick, and have tv with UPC. Every couple of days I come home from my lunch and, BANG, no tv. When I rang they say they are carrying out "essential maintenance" in the area. Is there anything I can do? Not only am I only in the middle of my contract, but now I'm missing Home and Away as well?

If its happening a lot then document exactly when its out and for how long, then get onto them and tell them that you want a refund for the loss of service.

Connect an aerial to your tv. Home & Away is on RTÉ?

Limerick, Tipp, Galway, Offaly and Clare MMDS were all down today. What needs to be done, has to be done.

Please use thread titles which describe your problem, rather than generic "I hate UPC" or such titles. Thanks.

OP I've also edited your post to tone down the language which was a little strong.

Im sure if its breaking down all the time you have to report it and keep a list of the break down times, if it keeps happening, tell them to take it out and dont pay them, under the sales of goods act its "not fit for purpose" so undeer the law you dont have to continue with the contract if they cant fix it.
