The most dangerous thing ever by a Garda

I saw the worst ever on Sunday. Out and out the most dangers thing I have ever seen a Garda do.

Heading towards the city coming in the N3 after the slip off for the M50 north on the right, between the two lanes to the City and the two lanes for the M50 South an unmarked Garda car with the radar gun on a tripod and pulling cars (stopping them) into the left lane where there is no hard shoulder.

Now if you are breaking the speed limit and caught for it put your hand up and take it but for an ass hole like this putting peoples lives at risk because he wants to look good with his returns to the boos is a disgrace.

I was driving along in the left lane, I did spot him with a car stopped in the lane but the car in front of me must not have seen them and nearly hit him but ended up pulling out into the right lane in front of the car beside me without any signal and they very nearly hit. As I said I had spotted it so had slowed to almost a stop waiting for the cars to pass before pulling out.

Saw this myself Saturday morning about 10.30am as I was heading out the Navan road. Not the safest place to be stopping at all!:eek::eek:

Yes I did, To the Garda National Traffic Bureau but I feel I might as well been talking to my cat.

It was like “Yawn” “it sounds dangerous all right”

She didn’t even take my name.

Well, yeah. You want someone to have a word with the Garda in question, don't you?:)

@bigjohn66 - Fair play for reporting it, their attitude sounds out of order. Maybe a call to the local station would have got a better response? I've come across the odd Garda checkpoint where I thought they weren't visible until dangerously late, and they seemed to take it on board when I said it to them.

I was heading from palmerstown to Liffey valley and when I got to the off ramp there was a member of our wonderful traffic corp reversing up the ramp back on to the main road!!

A couple days ago, N3/Snoborough Road big stupid junction.

Garda was queing as everybody else, in left lane which goes straight. They were 4th or 5th car from the lights.

Green light on and it took a couple of seconds for the first in a row to move - Garda didn't wait but pulled to right lane (which turns right) overtook a couple of cars and was squeezing back to left lane, all this without using turning or roof signals.

Wasn't so dangerous but even more cocky moves.

    DANGEROUS

Sorry, thread title was really bugging me.

No one thought to snap a picture?

Sorry lads but with the widespread adaptation of camera phones people should be snapping this stuff, even a video. Obviously not while driving, pull in before or after, or ask a passenger to do it.

If you feel it warrants a thread, it should warrant action at the time.

No disrespect intended to the poster, obviously conditions dictate what one can and can't do.

I didn’t think of it but I was driving and alone so it was out of the question. Because of where it was there was nowhere safe to park and take a picture.

I don’t see how it would make any difference anyway. I didn’t post anything about it until I had contacted them first.

    No disrespect taken.
