    hi
i need to install AUX port into the cd changer port of a honda accord.
to do this i need to get to the back of the honda radio head unit.
i am not comfortable in doing this myself.
is there anyone in dublin/kildare area who does this?
    something like this

I used DR Audio - great guy to deal with. I had the XCarLink kit in my last car - not bad at all.

If you search for Accord owners forums, you should find a how to guide. I've installed one in a Civic, and it's a lot easier than it looks.
If you haven't bought the xcarlink yet, I have a brand new unused one for sale ;)

I just installed one in my car. There's a how to with pictures on an Accord forum, can't link as on phone but Google xcarlink and Accord and its one of the first on the link. The how to is for a car with navigation, mine doesn't.

The biggest difference without navigation is that you don't need to remove the top panel as my Aux input is on the bottom of the radio, which means I only really needed to strip the bottom parts out and no need to remove the radio.

Likewise I installed my xcarlink into my Civic 2 weeks ago using a step-by-step guide from a forum.
It seems scary and daunting at first, but it's actually grand once you get into it!
Took me about an hour and 40 to do.

thanks guys.. did you have to drill any holes for wires?
i have no satnav in my accord. so the cdchanger port should be free.
is there any video for accord UK/irish models?
    which kit did you buy?

I put a Xcarlink adapter in the Accord I owned before,it's pretty easy.

No, no drilling was required for mine. I just routed the wire from the arm rest under the the console beside the handbrake and gearstick, then up behind into the CD changer (like the guide showed).

My civic guide is no use, but one of the guys on this thread should be able to provide the end-to-end guide for your accord.

The main thing is just to take your time - I got stuck at one point where the pressure/force I'd been applying to the plastic poppers to remove panels wasn't working for one of them. So instead of applying more force and risk breaking it I got out the torch and saw that the poppers for this panel were actually at a different angle to what I thought they were. The came out with the regular pressure then once I'd re-adjusted my angle I was pulling at.

No drilling needed just time and patience. There's a cut out in the glove box if you want to put it in there.

Here a link with better pics. For my 2004 with the 6 CD changer and no nav I could have started at step 4, in step 13 my Aux input was in the middle of the radio on the bottom.

It may be handier to start at step 4 and if you don't find the Aux then go back to 1.

    Edit...

Found another link which has all the info.
