Help with buying a watch

    Hey all!

I'm looking at buying myself a birthday present, so I decided on a nice watch.

I've always wanted an Omega Seamaster Pro, Mid Sized, Black face, a classy looking watch.

I'm looking at spending up to 300-400 euro for an automatic, dressy/casual watch. My wrists are tiny so it can't be a big ben style watch.

    Anyone got any recommendations?

Also, where is the best/cheapest place to buy online?

    thanks:)

Can't go wrong with Amazon. Customer reviews on there are dead handy & reliably have best price.

    Amazon.co.uk - Omega Seamaster

Clearly you didn't read the OP? Budget of 300-400 euro!
What's it like working for Amazon BTW?

In that price range I would look at

    http://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/

    and

Have a look at christopherward.co.uk. I have a few of them. Very good value IMO.

Doubt you will get a new model SMP for that money

    Maybe an older 60/70 model

You are looking at about 1k for 2nd hand SMP

Look on adverts.ie or even here, this is where we flaunt out wears

In that price range I would definitely suggest thinking about the Steinhart Ocean 2 which is due to be launched next month. It will be available through there website. Dimensions unconfirmed, but hopefully 42mm diameter and 13mm thick.

I guess you should probably look at Seiko and Orient as well

Easy to source a leather strap for it. It is quite small 34mm. I think a new bracelet on an old watch probably won't look fantastic.

I think i'll be putting my name down for one of those Ocean 2's.

any idea how much the Steinhart Ocean 2 will cost? I really like their diver watches, does anyone have one? or know if their a good watch?

Also, I have tiny wrists so a SS bracelet never looks good on my wrist, can u get a leather strap with it?

I'd guess between €300-€400 based on the Ocean 1.
