MGO (Agri Diesel) fuel pumps?

Was just reading the agri fuel thread and got me thinking....

I use on occasion a well known fuel depot in Cork. You basically stick your credit card in to a kiosk, choose the fuel pump number, fuel value, fuel type etc... swipe the card, refuel and drive off.

As part of the transaction you are asked to choose between 'Diesel' or 'MGO'. Obviously we all choose Diesel. I'm assuming MGO is the agri stuff?

So what to the experts here think if a customer just before you was pumping MGO? Will there be detectable traces of the MGO in your fuel tank if you were 'dipped'? After all is the same physical pump-hose/nozzle in the fuel depot..

MGO is Marine Gas Oil. I wouldn't be putting in a car.

Marine Gas Oil? Really? Where did you get that from?
I'm pretty sure it's Marked Gas Oil and it's another name for agri diesel.

MGO is Marine Gas Oil in general terms in the transport/fuel industry. MGO in this context is marked (Argi) diesel though.

That's what I kinda guessed.... thanks for clarifying that.

But anyone know how these fuel dispensing pumps work? Will there be a 'hose length' of Agri Diesel waiting for the nest customer who selects 'Full Fat Diesel' for his/her car?
