I know this thread prob belongs in parenting but I thought more teachers would see it here. Do you pay for childcare in July August? Are crèches more flexible now ?

i pay in july cos i'm still marking then but don't pay in august
(childminder though, not a creche and because i only sub, the arrangement is she only gets paid when she is working, like me)

i know our local community creche offers 'full-time care' when you pay when you take holidays, but don't have to pay when they close for theirs = so say for example, they close for two weeks in august which you don't have to pay for, but if you take holidays in july, then you still have to pay them. but they also offer 'term time' only places which coincide with the local primary school holidays, so you only pay for the 33 weeks or whatever it is in primary school. ...
