Can someone please tell me what the problem is with my polo gear?

it does not happen all the time, but properly once a week, when i am driving for a while, suddenly it won't let me shift into 3rd gear and 4th gear, no matter what i do, but 2nd, 5th can be shifted into and work fine to me at the time,and then it takes a little while, the problem will go away. everything is back in order, all gears work perfect and smooth,and easy to shift into any gears.
