    Anyone doing it as a subject? I'm interested in doing it next year.. what do they go through in 1st year? Do they devote much time to grammar? What did you do in 1st year? Just wondering about that kind of thing.. thanks....:)

    Yes a lot is based around grammar, which is good and bad.

    You do a language class where you talk about things etc. You do significant events which is about history etc. you read a book aswell and poetry.

    It's like most things you get out of it what you put in. I'm in 2nd year and I am average at best and I do find it hard to communicate with French people even at this stage.
