Took one for a test drive on friday afternoon for about 20 mins. All felt ok, but didn't have a mechanic or someone along to help with a second opinion. There's about 59000 miles on it. Anyway, the only thing that I noticed (given my inexperience with car mechanisms...) when looking at the engine was that all the screws around the top of the engine were very rusted, and the engine body/block was a bit mottled as well. Would this be an immediate cause for concern, or a complete dealbreaker? The car is in good nick otherwise, the outer body doesn't have any dents, paint all looks good, the alloys don't look like they've ever hit a kerb, it drove well throughout the gears. Sorry this isn't much info, but looking at making a decision on it over next day or so. Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated...
