    Hey!

I'm currently final year BComm International with French, I started in 07 and took a year out last year.

I like the course, however I know that the structure is different now - you can specialise in either Commerce OR languages now as far as I'm aware.

It's a good sound course, the Erasmus year is literally the best thing you'll ever do in your life, and the BComm is highly regarded while having a language sets you out from crowds when looking for graduate jobs.

No idea what the points are, think it was 480 my year.

    Any more specific questions?

Thanks! Sounds great the year abroad does sound pretty good ! Points was 465 last year so hoping it wont go up too much! Whats the teaching of the language like ? Was thinking of doing French and Chinese?

I think the French is taught well. Certainly taught in a more enjoyable way than the Leaving is in my view, you have to use your head more instead of just going home and learning sheets of vocab. I don't know about Chinese but anyone I know who is doing it is really enjoying it and the module involves a lot of fun stuff as part of the continuous assessment.

The great thing in my view about the new Commerce International format is the ability to drop the language if you want. Some people just aren't cut out for languages at 3rd level, this course allows people to drop their language, still spend a year abroad in an English speaking partner university and then specialize in Commerce aimed at a global level.

If you have anymore questions you can PM me and I'll get back to you.
