    hi

anyone know how long this takes?

Have a flight departing at 10:45 and am wondering what time we (2 of us) should be in the airport to allow time to complete this and check in bags and clear security etc....

You should leave yourself well over an hour to get through US pre-clearance if it's anything like the time I went through there in November, they only had 3 booths open for about 2 full flights going about the same time, the queue was moving at a snail's pace and after 45 minutes, myself and the other people on my flight were told to skip the queue and get to the front immediately.

Then again, if they have a decent amount of staff on duty, then you should sail through. Unlikely the flight will leave without you though if your bags have been checked through.

I think you would need to give yourself 2 hours.

An hour is way too short. You are asking for trouble only giving yourself this amount of time.

Be at CBP at least an hour and a half before your flight, if not earlier. Airlines like start to boarding an hour before the flight and with passenger numbers the way they are at the moment, you'll be through CBP in half an hour no problem. Once you're scanned in and in the queue the airline know where you are at all times and won't leave without you.

Hi all, I am just wondering does the evening departure to JFK undergo pre clearance in Dublin or does it have to be done in JFK. I think it is 17.20 departure? As Iwill be connecting on in JFK with jet blue to Rochester I am wondering do I have to recheck in my bags there or do they go all the way from Dublin. Also what is the story ith duty free would I get a chance to put it in my checked luggage before going onwards with jet blue? Great if anyone can help me out

USCBP closes at 2. The afternoon flight to JFK does everything in JFK.
