Registering credit card on Market problem

I'm trying to register my credit card details on the market but keep getting the error message 'There was a problem registering your card. Please retry again' when I submit the details. Anyone any suggestions. The card is working fine and I get the error both on WiFi and 3G.

you could try reg your card details on google checkout online and they should carry through to the market.

What card kind?
When does it expire?

Card number, pin code and CCV optional.

AIB, Visa, June '14? When I logged into the market on my pc I got a different error saying my address had invalid characters?
