Decontamination Validated Studios?

I work in sterile services and heard a report that there was a surge of about 800 cases of Hepititus and HIV. All cases had one thing in common...they all got a tattoo done in Dublin.

A guy who validates our hospital machines does validations for tattoo artists, or has just begun. Only 4 studios have these certs.
He was shocked at the standards of decontamination in alot of studios, one of which only wiped the needle with a cloth.

Its just worth a call to see if they are validated if you are getting a tattoo, as I am.

I find that very hard to believe, unless it was in someones kitchen.

That's a bit of a tenuous link there to be honest.

What about the drug users (aka "junkie scum"?). Does your statistic factor this group in?

Also you heard a report. Did you read this report, has this report been published? Where can we find it?

It's a good point you bring up regarding being more aware of sanitary issues when going to a studio.

I think there should be some database or cert even on the studio site to ensure that they adhere to these standards.

Also, just be wary of posting up hearsay and passing it off as fact.

I bet they've all had sex too.

Also there has never been any evidence of any cases of HIV being passed in a tattoo and now you're claiming that there's 800(including hep) just from Dublin alone??

Wow so dublin is worse than the rest of the worl combined??

Alow me to just leave this here

Gonna call bull**** on this one.The standards over here are very high for a completely unregulated industry--Id imagine that most if not all studios are as sterile as if there was regulation.

    Youre "friend" is bull****ting you.
