I haven't done a single thing over the weekend. So many plans, but eventually ended up doing fuk all but browsing the net, I don't get much of what I'm reading anyway. Can't get my ar5e up from the sofa. Have that strange feeling of drifting away into a gray mist, nothing interesting around, just this "work-home-work-home" scenario that awaits every bloody day. As the time goes by, I'm getting older and older. It seems that I have a very serious problem to get anything organised, any little thing appears to be Mount Everest to me. I don't have energy to jog anymore, do weights, go out, play my PS3 - nothing. I'm gradually loosing interest in everything and I'm in that bloody "constantly stable" mood - just hanging there, half awake, half asleep, no joy, no anger. I expect this to be something normal that happens to many people this time of year but After Hours - I think I may need you recipe to come back to life.

That sounds a little bit like depression. Talk to someone you get on well with.

I'm totally bored too. Just having another glass of wine and then going across road to my little lovely local to the other alcoholics. Drink solves SOME problems.

I have the perfect remedy for you.
Take a cheap flight to Amsterdam.
Purchase 1 gram of MDMA powder (Ecstacy).
Snort 500mg up your left nostril.
Snort 500mg up your right nostril.
Then go to a nightclub that plays some Trance music, and dance.
    Enjoy you life.

How in the name of god would I make it to the airport if I can't get off my couch?

It's normal for people to feel bad or suffer with feeling like they are not in control, watching their own life go by or having depression or whatever they are all normal things but they don't always go away by themselves and however you feel which is normal it is better for you to do something about it like manage it than let yourself drift on which is very tiring

but you sound really self aware I've felt like (as mentioned above) before but it was only weeks afterwards I realised I wasn't doing much, didn't want to do much but talking get out whats weighing you down and helps your mind digest your feelings.

And remember you don't have to be suicidal to talk to the Samaritans, they encourage people to get in contact even if they're stressed and need to get if off their chest,

seeing that you probably drift towards staying online a lot it might be easier to email
    http://www.samaritans.org/talk_to_someone/email.aspx

or use one of Awares online chat room sessions.

If you would rather start with that opposed to seeing your GP or calling.

Step 1. Quit your job right now.

Step 2. Go travel the world and experience life.

After that, step 3 will come naturally to you.

this happens to me as well, what I do is just decide to do something and start immediately without thinking too much about it. It works for the most part (for me anyway). Gonna clean my room now :D

The whole "laziness breeds laziness/inaction" idea is also definitely true in my case. It can be tricky getting out of a slump, but good luck man.

    see the formula here
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Monday_%28date%29

Order some take away with loads of msg / spice + beer + ice-cream
Dont watch RTE or read any Irish media for the rest of your life!
Read les miserables! ( It puts a lot of things into perspective)
Quite your job if you dont like it.
    Travel

I had so much to do and I wanted to do so much but I didn't do a tap and had a lazy weekend. This is going to sound awful and I didn't do this since I was a kid but I didn't even change my knickers at all this weekend. There's a strong wiff coming from my crotch and it almost knocked me dead when I bent to pick something up earlier. But going for a shower shortly.
