PC Can't connect to Router

    Strange one here guys,

The PC in my parents house won't connect to the UPC router, it was working fine up until last week and just stopped. It recognises the network in a search but is unable to connect.

Router is fine, iPad, iPhones, laptops all still connect and work, just not this one pc.

Turned the hotspot feature on my iPhone on and the pc connected to the phone and used the Internet that way. All worked ok, just still won't connect to the UPC.

Have rebooted the router, turned off encryption, checked that the pc has not got a static ip assigned and all have failed to solve the issue!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Yep, sorry should have included above. There's no mac address filtering on the network

Could be a virus, run a few virus scans. Try run winsock fix too

Is it a Netgear or Cisco router? Some of the netgear routers UPC supplied were pretty buggy. Update the firmware from Netgear's/Cisco's site to the latest and try again.

Have you tried a wired connection to the router?
