    Hi there,
I'm looking to lease a car for a year/two years instead of purchasing one. My main reason is because I tend to get bored with the same car after about 2 years, and I end up losing money when trading up or selling, so I was thinking does it make more sense to lease for a year/two years and be able to hand it back and swap for another one if I want to? I know per month it will probably be more costly than a car loan, but just want to know -
    - if it can be done
    - if any of you have done it
    - can you recommend any companies that do it?

    Thanks
    Trix

Drop R.O.R or Drummerboy08 a pm, they are in the fleet leasing business but I don't think that leasing companies in this country will lease to a private individual.

Some of the manufacturers have offers now audi are one i recall where you pay a deposit and make 3 years of monthly payments and you can hand back the car if you want.

Logically you'd be better off buying a cheaper, better car, saving more on depreciation.

Isn't VAT an issue when you're leasing? Not really an option for a private individual since you can't claim it back.

We don't do personal leasing and I don't think Drummerboy does either. Can't get finance for private leases anymore. Sixt leasing might, they are new to the market in Ireland.

If someone does do it, its not going to be cheap over 1 or 2 years and you'll have to say a fortune for insurance.

+1, I don't know of anyone in Eire that offers personal Contract Hire.

Audi do offer PCP deals, but obviously it is only linked to the Audi range.

The average term I see on Contract Hire would be 36 months, so 24 months would be shorter than normal.
