Advice for Ski Trip in March with 3 year old

    Hi,

My wife and I have been going skiing every year until recently when we had a wee girl. We took her last year with us when she was 2 years old to Saas Fee, we stayed in a hotel which had free childcare however she didn't really like us leaving her there!

Was hoping to go skiing in March leaving 3rd/4th as our childminder is off that week. Now that she is that much bigger 3 year old girl, I was wondering where to go that would suit.

I like the idea of the Ski Espirit holiday with childcare and ski lessons although could work out costly.

Love to hear similar experiences, any suggestions welcome.

PS anyone ever try St Gervais with kids, they seem to have a place for 3 year olds the Piou Piou Club: see link

I think you were probably in the best place last year. Saas is pretty much the best Kids/Family resorts in Europe.

Couple of alternatives would be St Johann, Obergurgal in Austria.

Would look for resorts with free child care, kids club passes, etc. Obviously she is probably a little young to ski so it will be lots of off the hill activities.

www.snowbizz.co.uk are good, and less expensive then Ski Esprit.

Val Cenis in France takes three year olds in ski school. The CIS is a good value place to stay. It has a little shuttle bus which collects children from the front door at 9am, takes them to ski school, and takes them back in time for lunch. Same again in the afternoon. www.cis-valcenis.com

    Hi,

Thanks for the the tips I am thinking Westendorf might be best. An Irish travel company are charging 1767 Euro for wife/me and 3 year old for flight and accomadation in Hotel Post.

If I was able to get flight only it might be cheaper to DIY it, can anyone recommend any good Hotels/Pensions/Apartments?

    Thanks,
