Got it in Game at xmas and now its got the YLOD(Yellow Light Of Death)

I presume it has warranty cuz I just got it? Do second hand consoles have normal warranties? I only got it a month ago or less!

Any advice/help on how I should approach them in Game would be great

    Thanks

Tell them what happened, in this case there's not much extra to do.

Try for a replacement as it'll be quicker and even as it'll be another used PS3 it's likely to still be better than a used one that's been repaired already, after a month they won't have much of an argument against sorting this out.

Will do, going to demand a replacement because they should not sell PS3's that are passed their expire date in the first place. Not leaving without a replacement and certainly not waiting for it to be repaired to brake again in the coming weeks.

I believe it is a 3 month warranty for second hand consoles - open to correction though.

By that logic, people should not buy PS3s that are by their sell by date(even though there is no expiration date on consoles).
They sell them because people are willing to buy them.

Personally speaking, I would not buy a second hand console - previous owner probably realised it was acting up and decided to get rid of it.

    Passed there expiry date
A ps3's not like a piece of fruit that goes off after a certain date.

But yes you should have at least a couple of months of a warranty with the system.

Edit- Didn't see the post above before I posted

    Update:

Did the Hairdryer trick and it works great! Enough to take my game out and even backup any other data I need.

Will still be bringing console back to store tomorrow though of course.

    ;)

    Sorted
