    Hi guys,

I am self employed for the past 3 years however I have been offered a normal job with a company which is too good to resist. I now need to de-register with the revenue so I am no longer on their system as a self emplyed person.

Whats the process for this? Maybe someone here has been self employed before and can give me abit of advice. I am hoping it's just a case of going up to the revenue and signing somthing and thats the end of it?

    Cheers

You need to complete a Form TRCN1 when you wind up your business and then file a final form 11 for the year. So if you are ceasing this year you will need to file your 2012 return when it becomes available. In that return you will need to include both your PAYE income and self employed income for the year.

You can be registered as self-employed and be a PAYE worker at the same time
