Repairing CB Levante

A family member very kindly gave me his 5 year old levante and compared to my appolo its such a pleasure to ride.

However it needs a little bit of work.
The largest of the front sprockets needs replacing as there are little bits missing
off the top of some of the teeth and all the teeth on this sprocket are worn.
The rest of the sprockets front and rear don't appear to have much if any wear.
Is it possible to replace this sprocket only or is it advisable to replace all sprockets and chain as they all wear in tandem and what is the likely cost?

There doesn't seem to be anywhere to fit a front mud/splash guard either over the wheel or on the front down tube. I presume it's inadvisable to drill and tap a 6mm thread into the downtube. Does this type of bike not support mud guards?

I'd say there a good chance that the front chainring is fine - ever 8-10 teeth there is an 'odd' looking (worn-looking) one ; its to allow the chain to easily slip off that ring and onto the adjacent ring.

If the bike did serious miles in the 5 years, it could be worn, but probably not.

Some bikes dont have mudguard mounting holes. Others can advise, but as far as I know there are specific mudguards made for these situations.

Thanks for replying. There are 3 teeth together that have the top worn completely off and the rest of them have angled slightly forward as the chain has "pulled them forward" if you can picture that. It's a common wear symptom on motorcycles where there is greater torque but I've not got enough experience with bicycles to know what is usual.

I'm just wondering if its usual to replace the complete set or could I get away with just replacing that 1 part.
