Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Hope you guys can help me out, I'm looking to buy a laptop in the next few days. I'm looking for something for general use (Internet, iTunes, etc) as well as running an accounting package, so a full keyboard is an advantage. I've spotted a toshiba in a local shop for €499 it's i3 370m processor, 6mb ram, 500gb hd (can't find link or model number).

I think the I3 is first gen? Should I be looking for a 2nd gen processor? Anybody got any other suggestions for something simular or is this a good deal!

    Thanks
It is first gen i3 yea, you can tell by the 370 after the i3, second gen (sandybridge) is i3 followed by a 2 (eg i3-2310).

Second gen is abit faster, better integrated graphics and better power management...battery will last abit longer. It's a good price, similar Komplett one with less RAM is €450.

For what you want it for it'll do nicely.

Few second gens at same price as yours anyway....

    Lenovo delivered for €495
Asus delivered for €500 (You have to pay online but you can pick it up if you wanted)

I'd be happy with either. The Lenovo was a big xmas seller, getting good reviews.

^^handy as a general reliability guide. The above Lenovo model is out since the survey was completed.
