Okay, well i have not been in secondary school for over 13 years now, and while i was in 3rd year (in my country secondary is 4 years) i struggled with maths. 3 years ago i did pre-nursing, and found that i would really like to repeat maths as a subject, but i never got it. I am planning to go back to 3rd level (nursing hopefully otherwise bioscience/forensic sciences) however, because of my poor level in maths (i simply don't understand anything to do with maths, other than simple sums, divisions and %) i really need to do something about it, but i can't get it. Does anyone on here have any advice for me, as i really need to do something about this problem. I am in my late 20's now. Thank you.

Hi, your situation sounds pretty similar to mine & what I found insanely
helpful was youtube videos, specifically these ones. Best to forget nearly
everything you think you know about math & learn it properly, using those
& other videos. Hopefully you'll experience a lot of moments where you
unlearn what you thought you knew :P

If you're looking for a book, take a look at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Edexcel-GCSE-Maths-Foundation-Mathematics/dp/0435534084/. I'd ignore the 1 negative review.

I also give grinds, more details in the grinds sticky thread.
