    Hi guys.

Not sure if anyone can help here. I have an issue with 2 channels on my Sky plus box (standard box, not HD). There is an error code 25 coming up on those 2 channels only, all other channels work fine.

The error says 'no satellite signal is being received. Please unplug your box from the mains, then plug it back in and wait 5 minutes before trying again. If the fault persists contact customer services'

So I unplugged it, took the card out, and reset it. Not working still. I contacted sky just there, and did an LNB reset and checked all cables etc, but still no joy. The customer service rep said it would need an engineer call out in that case, which would cost €100. Feck that. No way am I paying €100 for 2 stations not working.

So I'm hoping the good people on boards can give me a solution, and I can pay in virtual money or virtual beer! Cheers!

strange this as i have the same problems with the HD versions of the same 2 channels, along with Sky sports 4 HD, which i think are all on the same transponder.

plug out box hold down back up button on sky box dont let it go, plug box back in wait a few seconds ,a message will come up on screen, that might solve it

With the recent wind, maybe the dish is slightly out of alignment.

no its not a dish problem, i know that for a fact, I've a 1.1m dish and a standard sky mesh dish and same problem when connected to both.

Do Sky 2 and Pick TV work? These are on the same transponder. If they don't, it may be interference from a cordless phone if you have one.

How old is the dish and what condition is it in? MY father in law had problems with the Sky freezing. Had engineers out several times. Decided to upgrade to HD, installer had the same problems with fitting, when back checking everything he found the dish was in very poor condition, all rusted. Put a new dish up and problems solved.

they dont work either alright, hadnt noticed that. but plugged it out again, and switched off the phone and took out the batteries but still sky stations arent working.

tried that holding the back up button too, but no joy either.

now I have switched it off, and when I went to sky 1, it was working, went away and then went back and it was gone. so its intermittent now. sometimes it is there, sometimes its not. really annoying.

I had a call to a house where the customer was having the same problem a few weeks back on her sky+HD box, her std HD multiroom box was fine.
Dodgy internal cabling was the culprit.
Replaced it and all is fine.

I assume you mean the lnb supply cable? I was wondering if that could be my problem?

Yeah, the 2 co ax cables that were ran from attic to living room when the house was being built.
