An investigation is under way into the cause of a gas explosion at a house in Co Kildare in which three people were injured.
The explosion happened shortly after midnight after Bord Gais staff made safe a leak in an adjoining property in the Riverdale Court estate in Leixlip.
Three other houses were evacuated for a time as a precaution.
The three people who were injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

looking forward to hear the results of the cause of the gas leak.

Two oul' biddies talking about it on my way into work now. Apparently a woman is still in hospital in an induced coma and will require skin grafts for burns. This was not far from where I live and is the first I've heard of it!

Apparently the leak was on the road and the gas travelled through the ducting for the electrics and up through the cavity

That happened in a house in my wifes estate some years back. They got a brand new house built and put up in a hotel for the duration.

Do you think they will ever switch to gas?:D Sad joke:rolleyes:
