    Hi Folks,

Recently my MacBook lost a long screw from the base of the case. Not sure how or when it happened, but it needs to be replaced. Does anyone know somewhere in Ireland that stocks replacements? I can get a set on eBay for €20 but if I could get them in Ireland I'd like to.

    Cheers!

    ironclaw.

I got a set on eBay from China for EUR7 here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200676729593&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:GB:1123

I couldn't find anyone in Ireland.

Cheers for the reply. I was thinking myself the same but the thoughts of waiting 2 or 3 weeks for a delivery from China isn't appealing. Anyone know if CompuB at the end of Grafton St has a repair department that would have that sort of stock to hand?

They would have it, but probably wouldnt sell them to you, they'd want to charge you for labour. No harm ringing them to see though?

Compu b do indeed have a service department, they aren't going to charge you labor to put in a screw but I can tell you screws from apple are expensive. Apple don't sell sets like above they sell packs of one type of screw and are extortionate on shipping Buying from an AASP will not be cheap unless it's spares they have from dead machines.
