    Hi All,

Just going to service the new Levin I picked up. Is it ok to use 15W40 engine oil or should I be using something different?

15w40 is not the right oil for that car. From memory it should be getting 5w30 semi but I'm not 100% on that. Best check out a guide

From my experience anything less than a 10w40 fully synthetic and your going to be burning oil on these engines, i know a fair few BZR owners that have been through plenty of different types of oil to see what works best, Motul 10w40 300v chrone works very well, but from talking to BZ-R owners they swear by Rock Oil 10w40. I use the Motul myself on my B16 and find i dont burn a drop, but the BZ-R lads say their oil consumption is bare minimum with the Rock Oil.

Just my 2c, any pics of the new Levin?

I usually use 10w40 semi synth on mine. It does burn oil between services though. Big thread on owners experiences with different oils in the 4A-GE here:
