Loss of DTT last night

All the DTT channels last night had a very low signal level, causing green flashes on screen that made it unwatchable. Analogue was fine. It was very foggy outside, could this cause it or was there a fault at transmitter.

    There's more than 1 transmitter, y' know.

    No, really!

The transmitter I use is Clermont Carn.

Just wondering if anyone else had any problems with DTT as analogue was fine.

If you're south of Clermont, Saorview coverage from there will be a bit flakey in some places until analogue is switched off & the digital transmissions are transferred to the main antenna array at the top of the mast; they currently use a temporary setup lower down.

Those to the north of the mast will have even less Saorview service available until ASO.

The extra moisture in the air was probably enough to push your available signal below the threshold required for decoding.

Thanks, I am south of the transmitter, but have had flawless reception from when tests began last year. It was never affected by the weather last winter either. Yesterday was first time the signal was affected.
Signal level and quality usually in high 90's. Yet yesterday it was about 15%, it was foggy most of yesterday.
    It is okay today.

Could have been co-channel interference (CCI) from the Llanddona site in Wales; the atmospheric conditions that lead to this can result in fog, especially at this time of year.

    Something similar.

RTE2 disappeared from my Saorview box, I mean DISAPPEARED.

No picture or no listing in channel list. RE-tuned box today and all ok.

I am receiving from 3 Rock.
