Hi, i've been on here before talking about our water pump. It has packed it in this morning, it is completely dead. Before we could plug it out for a while, and then it would work.

This is the second time in five years it has to be replaced, having spoke to other people in the apartment block it has happened to others also.

Basically i am wondering if someone has any ideas what could be causing multipul failures and also can any suggest a plumber to replace our broken pump in D15?

    Thank you

It does the hot and cold water in the bathrooms, and the hot water in the kitchen. It is grundfos water pump. It also does the waching machine.

    Thanks you

Contact Grunfoss, they have good service engineers, no need to replace the pump usually.

Thanks, I will try ring them on monday? Do they send someone out to your house? The model is STN -1.5B. It is a one floor apartment and the tank is right next to the pump.

Theres a place in Dublin that services and rebuilds all types of water pumps.

So I am back again, this is still happening on and off. I had the chap from Grundfos out who said the fuse was loose. He also lowered the temp. Does anyone have any ideas, the pump is next to the boiler.

Is there plenty of free air movement around the pump?

If your pump has a plastic body its not designed for continous use, will cut in and out & eventually give up, you said that you replaced it all ready was it for a plastic body pump also, btw 1.5 bar is really to small to be running all your services off, you will eventually need to considering buying a brass body continously rated punp, this type of pump is capable of the duty of serving all your appliances. Monsoon universal 2 bar pump, made by Stewart Turner would be a good one for your application
