Nissan Micra- brake lights and rear wiper

My wife has a 06 Micra which had a new tailgate fitted 2 months ago after a crash. It was an insurance job.

I have noticed that the rear wiper and tailgate brake light are not working. I have checked fuses and the brake light bulb and cannot see any problems.

Could the two be linked? The number plate light on the tailgate works- so at least some of the electrics there is ok.

    Any ideas?

The number plate light on a micra is on the bumper, not the tailgate.

Does the rear windscreen wash work?

Sounds like the door isn't plugged into the loom

    Thanks.

I checked to make sure wiper motor was connected and i must have connected something- it is working now. No doubt it will stop working again!

The brake light still isn't. Fuse ok, filament in bulb looks ok. Checked connections and they seem ok. Anything else obvious which I should be doing?

Te wiring going from the body to the door, at the top.

Bring it back to the garage though. This is likely to be their fault.

try replacing the bulb or check to see if there is power coming to the bulb holder. i dont know how the trim is heald on on these but if its easy to take off it might be worth having a look to see if the loom is pluged in right
